Roxbury playwright Jeanne Beckwith has been a Vermont playwright for nearly two decades.
“I’ll be honest,” she said. “I’ve been a playwright in Indiana, I’ve been a playwright in Georgia, I’ve been
a playwright in Alabama, and I’ve been more productive since I got to Vermont than I was through any of
the other years. Not that I didn’t write, and I didn’t get work done, but since I got to Vermont, I’ve had a more pleasant life."
